Surf Life Saving is now well into its second century but our vision remains the same as when the movement began in 1910, to save lives. Last summer Surf Lifeguards spent more than 200,000 hours on patrol and rescued over 1200 people.
Our organisations is filled with ordinary Kiwis that give up their weekends and holidays to keep people safe on our beaches, and are always fully prepared to put their own lives at risk for the safety of others. Our Lifeguards complete many hours of training and give their time each year to protect our community in the water.
The beach is considered to be New Zealander's favourite playground and whenever you book a hotel, motel or any other accommodation through Kiwi Karma, you can help Surf Life Saving keep beach users safe.
