Imagine New Zealand without kiwi
95% of kiwi that hatch in the wild do not survive to breeding age. We are losing around 27 kiwi every week from our national population and if we did nothing, kiwi could be gone from the mainland in our lifetime.
Kiwis for kiwi is a national charity that protects kiwi and their habitat by supporting kiwi conservation projects across New Zealand.
Your donation will help support critical work to save kiwi, like controlling predators such as stoats and ferrets. With your help, we are winning battles. Where we are managing predators, 60% of kiwi survive to breeding age. On the Coromandel, for example, due to vigilent predator control, the kiwi population is doubling every decade. We know what to do - we just need to do more of it, and do it smarter. And for that, we need your support.
By booking your hotel, motel or anyother accommodation via Kiwi Kama, and nominating Kiwis for Kiwi as your chosen charity, you can help support our vision to take kiwi from endangered to everywhere.
