Father and Child vision is “New Zealand communities where fathers and mothers are supported equally and have access to the resources and help, they need to work together for the welfare of their children.”
Outcomes include better informed expecting dads, involved from day one parenting, dads who support breast feeding, couples surviving post natal issues still together, fathers who understand the benefits of play and nurturing, families with a better understanding of discipline and removal of anger from parenting.
At home dads are focused on what is important, teen dads actually take up their parenting role, solo dads take full charge of their children and CYFs social workers include dads and/or dads Whanau in children’s plans.
Dads feel enabled to gain support from other agencies, WINZ/IRD, lawyers or The Family Court. We help dads get through periods where they have to wait for contact to resume, supervised contact or see their kids are safe.
By booking your hotel, motel or any other accommodation through Kiwi Karma you assist us in helping mums, families and support workers providing information they need to encourage good dads. Relationships and parenting partnerships established. Children are better bonded to both parents. They have better role models for their own future challenges. Teenagers are less likely to turn to drugs and alcohol, become teen parents and turn to activity. They are more likely to excel in school and seek tertiary education.
